Born March 10, 1953 and raised in the Finger Lakes District of New York. Completed Master's Degree in Engineering at SUNY at Buffalo. Worked at Hughes Aircraft, EG&G, Varian Associates, Boston Scientific, and several startups. Am married to another longevity activist, Nancy Miceli, and father of one natural child and eight foster children. Raise rare fruits, chickens and bees in San Mateo, CA. I enjoy many other studies, especially astronomy, history, archeology, nutrition, culinary arts... When time allows, I enjoy craftwork, music, ceramic sculpting, automotive and bicycle restoration and maintenance, and more. Cumulatively, I have spent ~one year in China, including teaching English in remote Yunnan.
